Kids' Injury Clinic - podiatry, sports injury, dance therapy
Written by Elle Phillips, clinic director, mother of 2.
As a sports injury therapist and a mother of two, it wasn't until I joined the committee of my boys primary school that I found myself inundated with mums concerned not only about their own aches and ailments, but more often their childrens. "I'm worried about his knees, I'm worried about her feet, does he stand correctly, does she walk correctly, do they need an xray? should I take them to the doctors!" School drop offs were never the same since I passed a mother one of my business cards! hence I felt it only appropraite to expand into Kid's Injury clinic at Studio57.
Don't get me wrong, we've been working with children and young athletes for years, we are the official therapists to Brighton & Hove Gymnastics (I too competed in gymnastics and coached trampoline to county level) We are the recommended therapists to Super Heroes charity event (all about the kids!). We also work very closely with SAMA kids karate (92 classes a week across from Hove to Hastings), we treat kids from Brighton College, Brighton & Hove Athletics club, and even county level tennis players with their hopeful eye on Wimbledon one day.
Where we have raised our game is by bringing on some highly experienced pediatric specialists to ensure we give you the best service possible.

Introducing Joss Hall - Sports and dance therapist.
Joss is our go to girl for anything sports and dance related. Having qualified from London Metropolitan University with a first class BSc honours degree in Sports and Dance Therapy. She initially began her journey in the dance world and trained to a high level before sustaining an injury during an audition for full time training. Now she specialises in rehabilitating injuries sustained through sports and dance with a keen interest working with junior athletes.
Claim to Fame - Worked with world class Carlos Acosta, principle guest artist of the royal ballet as his personal therapist on a leg of his world tour!
And as for the rest of Team57 therapists...
As for the rest of our therapists at Studio57clinic, they still remain as awesome as ever treating juniors regardless of sport, age or gender. The most amazing thing about kids (apart from their untold level of energy and enthusiam) is the fact that they are so much more bullet proof than us ordinary grown up lot! If they have an injury or need some support, their incredible adolescent bodies seem to fix quicker than any other age category we work with, hence, if given the right rehab program, they tend to bounce back in no time! #youthwastedontheyoung #grrrrrrr
Jordan from Rizzle Kicks wasn't always destined to be a pop star!
Prior to his huge success as a hip hop duo, Jordan had his eye on a career for football. We treated him at studio57clinic for various injuries across his early sporting days (so young that I don't think his feet ever touched the ground when he was sitting in reception), I thought he would at least give us a mention at the 2014 Brit Awards!
