Josie Grimus BSc Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
Josie studied and qualified in physiotherapy in the Netherlands in 2014. Afterwards she moved to Austria and to date worked in a practice working with both sporting and non sporting clients suffering from musculoskeletal, neurological and cardiac conditions. Part of the practise specialised in winter sports where she worked closely with ski and snowboard injuries from unfortunate 1st day skiers to top end competative performing athletes. Josie has completed courses in dry needling, taping and lymphatic drainage. Presently Josie is completing her Masters in musculoskeletal physiotherapy at the University of Brighton. She is a member of the HCPC and Chartered Society of physiotherapists in the UK.
I very much promote an holistic approach (how the whole body performs as a chain reaction of movement). The assessment and the treatment plan will depend on patients needs, goals and expectations. My treatments include manual therapy techniques such as joint manipulations or mobilisations, soft tissue treatments including massage, myofascial release and stretching, which often show pain relief in a short period of time. Active approaches like therapeutic and sport specific exercises and advice for everyday life, to help the patient to get back to an optimal state. Physiotherapy is one of my passions in life and I constantly look to expand my skill set.
